The Nightmare Before Christmas, the 1993 Tim Burton film that cross-pollinated Oct. 31 and Dec. 25, turned out to be prophetic.

In recent years, manufacturers have begun putting a Halloween spin on decorations once associated with Christmas. Christopher Radko, a designer of collectible holiday ornaments, has expanded his Halloween line to include a cobwebbed blown-glass ornament stand, $15, for displaying treasures like this spooky blown-glass cupcake, $32.

Meanwhile, Department 56, known for its Dickens’ Village line of holiday-season house miniatures, has added Grimsly Manor, a 10-inch ceramic haunted house, $120, to its Snow Village group.
